Rooster Walk 8: Music & Arts Festival

Rooster Walk Music and Arts Festival is four days of live music over Memorial Day Weekend. The festival features art, crafts, food, beer, children’s activities, on-site camping, disc golf and so much more!

Red Skelton Tribute Show
Brian Hoffman’s “Remembering Red – A Tribute to Red Skelton” is the longest running show at the Westin Hotel in Las Vegas. And he’s now on tour. This is an “extremely family-friendly” comedy show and a hilarious blast from the past. Fun for ALL AGES! Kids Fishing Day Clinic

Danville YMCA Summer Camps for Kids
Beginning May 23, summer camp is $100 a week for members and $150 a week for nonmembers. Drop-off is every day 7am-9am and pick-up is 5-6:30pm. Each week is filled with lots of educational activities and activities to keep the kids moving and active. Each week also includes a field trip. Smith Mountain Lake Pirate Days

There will be a controlled battle at Jake’s Place on Saturday at Noon between Bay Rock’s Revenge and Captain Party until 2pm. At 4pm come to Halesford Bridge/Bridgewater Plaza to see us board the Virginia Dare! On the way back up the lake we will stop at any and all marinas and docks possible.
The weekend will include live music at several venues and other retailer participating in pirate costumes. Check out the full list of events.

Discover the mysteries of the universe during our monthly adventures! Learn how to use and create your own star charts or journey through the night sky in The Dome with a special all-live Cosmic Expedition. Gaze through telescopes and see firsthand some of the wonders of the nighttime sky, weather permitting. This incredible event is brought to you in partnership with the Institute for Advance Learning and Research. Members and students with college ID enjoy free admission to Science After Dark; general admission is $5.
